The sacred Himalayan town of Haridwar represents a living lesson on Hinduism. Located at the foot of the Shivalik Hills, the town attracts hordes of tourists and devotees from all corners of the world. Haridwar also holds significance because it stands as the gateway to the chardham, which includes Yamunotri, Gangotri, Badrinath Ji and Kedarnath Ji. Haridwar finds its mention in the ancient Hindu epics and scriptures as Mayapuri, Mokshadwar and Gangadwar. Geographically, it is at Haridwar where the sacred Ganga enters the northern Indian plains. During the Kumbh Mela (held at the interval of every 12 years), the population of the town swells up to millions. The next Kumbh Mela and the Ardh Kumbh Mela (held at every 6 years) are scheduled to be held in Haridwar in 2010. Today, Haridwar is seen as a mystic centre for the rejuvenation of the body, mind and soul.

Day 01: Delhi - Haridwar - Rishikesh
Early morning board Shatabdi Express train for Haridwar Dep: 06:55 HRS. Breakfast on Board. Arr: 11:25 HRS. Arrive Haridwar. Met upon arrival and proceed to Rishikesh. We visit temple and ashrams in Laxman Jhula & Ram Jhula area. We also have lunch at Chotiwala, the famous traditional Indian restaurant of Rishikesh and overnight stay at Camp Ganga Waves Campsite Rishikesh.
After lunch drive to Camp Ganga Waves Campsite Rishikesh for little rest & change. Evening visit the Ghat's to encounter evening Ghat life as well as special Arti "The Prayer dedicated to Goddess Ganges", the town of ashrams and temples, Ghats and pilgrims, mountains and the holy Ganges. When global orange sun suspended, waits low amid the red/yellow streaked horizon, then all these combine to give this town a very special evening. The temple bells roar, priests enchant mantras. Immersed in sublimation stand the pilgrims. Cupped leaves, with saffron marigold petals and a small candle flame, flickering ride the current of water of wisdom. Suddenly the sky darkens, spreading a blanket of stillness. Everything stops, except the sound of current, which has just sunk the tiny flames of cupped leaves, few minutes back. After experiencing above we trace our steps back to the campsite. Dinner and overnight stay at Camp Ganga Waves Campsite Rishikesh.

Day 02: Rishikesh - Kunjapuri - Rishikesh
Early morning yoga Class with traditional Indian Guru - Early morning one to two hrs initiation class of yoga & meditation with relaxation of body and mind in one of the best Ashrams on the banks of Holy Ganges. After lunch we drive to Kunja Puri. - one hr on the mountain roads to mountain top - Kunja Puri. Enjoy walking through the Himalayan forests and panoramic view of Himalayan peaks . and overnight stay at Camp Ganga Waves Campsite Rishikesh.

Day 03: Rishikesh - Haridwar
Morning after breakfast free for optional activities. After lunch we drive back to Haridwar one can explore the temples of Haridwar & Har Ki Pauri Ghats or take a rope way to Chandi Devi temple to enjoy the rope way and view of Haridwar. Explore the area and transfer to Railway station to Board train for Delhi. Dep: 18:10 Hrs. Dinner on Board. Arrive New Delhi 20:30 hrs. Tour Terminates.
